"L'Essenza del The" opened in september, 2001 – it is the first shop in Milan highly specialized in the sale of teas and infusions.
To enter the shop you go up three steps, almost symbolic action, which leads the world in a serene atmosphere, made of warm, enveloping perfume, beauty. It's like being in a small library, but on the shelves, instead of books, there are lots of containers filled with tea, ordered with encyclopedic precision.
More than 250 Natural Tea qualities (green, blacks, white, oolong ..) strictly loose, from all over the world (India, China, Sri Lanka, Africa, Japan…) and over 60 blends of flavoured teas (greens, blacks, oolong), herbal teas, fruit-flavoured brews and special features from the world (rooibush, mate, Lapacho, pu erh, ayur vital and fresh tea). About 300 teas to satisfy even the most demanding and sophisticated.
It is the only shop in italy distributing the famous "emperors teas": the Tribute West Lake Longjing, the King of White (Bio) Tea, the Spring Buds White Tea, the Jasmin King White tea and the King Oolong ; biological teas, with limited production, famous for their delicious taste and for their beneficial effects on the human body.

A symbol of peace and harmony, tea culture expresses itself in the axiom brilliantly précised by the great master Sogaku from the Hayami School – "Drinking tea means looking for beauty and for the moves, the objects, and the heart we are offering to our friends.".
"L'Essenza del The" will guide you towards the discovery of the secrets of a ritual lost in antiquity, a journey in a real world through an "ingredien-Tea" seals rituals and traditions.
